After Invader’s journey in Basque and Seoul, the artist returns to Paris with a bang. On the side of a building in Place d’Italie, Invader, has placed a massive mosaic, PA_1525. The last time the artist installed his mosaics in Paris was in early October with PA_1523 and 1524. Let us dive deeper into this mosaic.
The Mosaic
Place d’Italie is a public space in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, its name takes inspiration from Avenue d’Italie, which was historically a place where people left Paris for Italy.
On November 19th, Invader posted two stories on his Instagram, taking pictures of the PA_1525's work in progress. PA_1525 is located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, depicting a classic white Invader encircled by a red and white ring with a green background, which is the color scheme of the Italian flag. Invader could place the mosaic there because the district's town hall allowed Invader to place this gigantic mosaic on the side of Place d’Italie. Thanks to them, we have a new Invader piece to enjoy. In the artist’s newest Instagram post, there is a drone shot that allows us to the sheer scale of the piece and see it as its whole. Upon scanning, the text “Alto E Grosso” in Italian translates to high and big in English
