Kendrick has just dropped his new album 'GNX' on 22 November. This comes as a surprise to everyone as Kendrick has not marketed this project anywhere on social media prior to the release.
This GNX album comes half a year after Kendrick Lamar’s rap beef with Drake, which featured 10 diss tracks with bangers like Not Like Us. This album is 44 minutes and 20 seconds long and features a track list of 12 songs, none released as singles before the album. However, it should be noted that the beginning of the second track ‘squabble up’ was featured at the beginning of the Not Like Us music video by Kendrick Lamar.
This album features an impressive list of features, all of which complement his vision of the album very well. with appearances from AzChike, Deyra Barrera, Dody6, Hitta J3, Ink, Kamasi Washington, Peysoh, Roddy Ricch, Sam Dew, Siete, SZA, Wallie the Sensei, and YoungThreat, though none of which were credited in the track list.
The cover photo features a black and white photo of Kendrick Lamar leaning on a Buick GNX car, which is Kendrick Lamar’s favorite car and was released the same year Kendrick was born.
The first Kendrick Lamar album was released under his record label pgLang. This comes after he left Top Dawg Entertainment following the release of his then-album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’. Take a listen to the album below.
