Today (21 May), Invader posted various Instagram stories about the destruction of his own mosaics. There were 3 mosaics involved, including PA_35, PA_1524, and FTBL_11.
The Mosaics
PA_35
The 35th mosaic in Paris, located in the 4th arrondissement, depicts a white Invader with black eyes. In the story shared by Invader by @bookadayin, it shows a man standing on a stool chipping off the mosaic with a chisel.
PA_1524
Installed in October last year, this mosaic depicts a white framed Space Invader in black with swirls as the background. Once again, it is being destroyed.
FTBL_31
The only mosaic that is not in Paris is in Fontainebleau. Being the 31st mosaic installed, it shows a deer standing on a patch of grass, which is sadly destroyed by, surprisingly, Invader himself. This is because The National Forests Office, the governmental agency of France that takes care of all the state’s forests, demanded the removal of this mosaic. Turns out, this mosaic was already destroyed back in December 2024, according to users on Invader Spotter that called it out.
