Newsport Street Gallery, in association with HENI, presents Triple Trouble, an exhibition featuring three generational artists: Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst, and Invader. Opening on 10 October and running until 29 March 2026, this exhibition, curated by Damien Hirst’s son Connor Hirst, will display a mix of individual works from the three artists along with new and exciting collaborations.

The Exhibition

Taking over all six gallery spaces at Newport Street Gallery, the exhibition features painting, sculpture, installation, and mosaic. It delves into the limitless possibilities of contemporary art, street culture, and pop iconography.

Fairey, Hirst, and Invader have collaborated to produce a series of hybrid works that resist easy classification while highlighting their mutual interest in repetition, symbols, and cultural icons.

Moreover, it showcases the distinctiveness of each artist while celebrating the dynamic synergy that arises from their collaboration. Visitors will encounter recognizable motifs — Fairey’s OBEY imagery, Hirst’s spots and cabinets, and Invader’s space mosaics. It is an exciting exhibition that you definitely do not want to miss out on.

The Artists

Fairey

Shepard Fairey is an American muralist and graphic artist. He first gained traction with his work, “Andre the Giant Has a Posse,” in 1989, which featured a sticker with an image of French professional wrestler André the Giant. But, he is best known for his 2008 “Hope” poster of former United States president Barack Obama.

Hirst

Damien Hirst is a British assemblagist and artist. He rose to the top of the art world in the 1990s, creating numerous artworks that featured dead animals in formaldehyde. Pieces include Away from the Flock, Mother and Child, Divided, and the famous The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living, which consists of a 14-foot-long tiger shark.

Invader

Invader, or sometimes Space Invader, is a pseudonym of a French urban artist whose real identity remains anonymous. The artist started off as an urban artist, and is known best known for creating transformative mosaic installations with tile pixels all across the globe, which he calls invasions.

If you are lucky enough to be in London on Thursday, 9 October, be sure not to miss out on the opening event of the exhibition, which takes place at Newport Street Gallery from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Invader had explicitly stated that everyone is welcome and no RSVP (The abbreviation of Répondez, s'il vous plaît in French, which means "please respond") is required. So be sure to check it out!
