Since Invader wrapped up the Invasion of Basque with 60 mosaics, we have followed his footsteps along his journey of Global Space Invasion in Basque. Previously, we covered 9 mosaics, all located in Bayonne; now, we reach the halfway mark and talk about the remaining ones from BAB_24 to BAB_32.
The Collection
BAB_24
BAB_24 depicts a red rectangle with a white Invader outlined with green above a lauburu symbol, an ancient hooked cross with four comma-shaped heads, being a traditional symbol of the Basque people and Basque county.
BAB_25
BAB_25 depicts the flag of the Basque country but with a twist of the center being replaced with an Invader.
BAB_26
Next to the Rue Bourgeneuf street sign, BAB_26 depicts a white Invader wearing a Basque bere, a soft, round, flat-crowned cap. It originated in Béarn, later bordered by the Basque provinces.
BAB_27
Above a Cafe and next to the Rue des Cordeliers street sign, BAB_27 depicts a red Invader alongside a wine bottle and a wine glass filled with a yellow-colored beverage.
BAB_28
BAB_28 is another mosaic with a red beret and a green body, referencing the color theme of the Basque Ikurrina Flag.
BAB_29
Just like the previous mosaic BAB_17, BAB_29 depicts another white Invader with a red outline, this time however, the invader is holding up the flag of Aviron Bayonnais, a rugby union team, instead of being beside it.
BAB_30
Once again, BAB_30 depicts a green Invader wearing a beret, seemingly holding some fresh local cherries, ready to serve to people who walk by.
BAB_31
BAB_31 depicts the text “I Invade BAB” with an invader replacing the word “invade”. The text is white and highlighted with red, placed on a green and white stripes background.
BAB_32
At last, BAB_32 depicts an Invader on the right of the Basque country flag.
